Headaches (Migraine, Tension, Cluster)
Headaches—including migraines, tension headaches, and cluster headaches—can vary in presentation but often share contributing factors related to nervous system sensitivity, circulation, and tissue tension. Migraines may involve throbbing head or eye pain with light or sound sensitivity and nausea, while tension headaches are commonly felt as pressure or tightness across the head, neck, and shoulders. Cluster headaches tend to cause intense, localized pain around one eye or temple.
At The Essential Healing Center, we recognize that headaches are rarely caused by a single structure. The head, neck, spine, connective tissue, vascular system, and nervous system all play a role in how headache pain is generated and sustained. Through a comprehensive, hands-on osteopathic evaluation, we assess how these systems are working together and identify patterns that may be contributing to ongoing symptoms. Care is focused on reducing unnecessary tissue strain, supporting healthy circulation and nerve regulation, and improving overall resilience to help decrease headache frequency and intensity over time.
