Peripheral Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy occurs when nerves outside the brain and spinal cord are affected, leading to symptoms such as numbness, tingling, burning pain, weakness, or altered sensation. While identifying and managing underlying causes—such as metabolic conditions, diabetes, nutritional deficiencies, medication effects, or prior injury—is essential, symptoms may persist even when these factors are addressed.

At The Essential Healing Center, we take a whole-body, hands-on approach to supporting nerve health. Peripheral nerve function is closely influenced by circulation, connective tissue, spinal mechanics, and nervous system regulation. Through gentle osteopathic evaluation and treatment, care is focused on reducing tissue restriction, improving blood flow and drainage, and supporting the environment in which nerves function. By addressing these interconnected systems, our goal is to reduce irritation, improve comfort, and support better daily function over time—alongside appropriate medical care.
