Spondylolisthesis

Spondylolisthesis occurs when one vertebra shifts forward relative to the vertebra beneath it, altering spinal alignment and placing stress on nearby nerves, blood vessels, ligaments, and surrounding tissues. This can contribute to back pain, stiffness, or symptoms that radiate into the hips, legs, or groin. Over time, the body often develops protective tension patterns that extend beyond the spine itself.

At The Essential Healing Center, we take a comprehensive, hands-on approach to spondylolisthesis. Through physician-led osteopathic evaluation, we assess how connective tissue tension, circulation, nerve regulation, and movement patterns are interacting throughout the body. Care is focused on reducing unnecessary strain, improving tissue mobility and circulation, and supporting the body’s ability to adapt more efficiently—helping improve comfort, stability, and function over time alongside appropriate medical care.
